Trip to Etruria Industrial Museum

In continuing our focus on our local heritage, year groups 5 to 10 took a visit to Etruria Industrial Museum for their first trip of the new term.

A guided tour around the museum took students back in time to meet characters from the Flint and Bone Mill and learn about the materials needed to make bone china and about how boating families lived and worked.

Students also took a stroll along the canal towpath to learn about canals, water safety and how locks work.

Students found the experience very eye-opening and have a new appreciation for our local canals that played such a vital role in our city’s past!
