Extra Curricular and Enrichment

At Excellence Girls Academy, we firmly believe education is not just about outstanding academia but should be about exploring creativity, flourishing talent and developing personal and social skills. Through these experiences’ students will obtain qualities which strive towards excellence in all areas of life and aspire to be role models of future generations.

We provide opportunities for enrichment through themed days and weeks, trips, guest speakers and visitors, school council, eco council, school responsibilities, linking with other schools, charitable work and many other activities.

All students will have plenty of opportunity to attend various educational and recreational visits such as trips to careers shows at the NEC and Geography trips to Carding Mill Valley to study rivers. These educational visits enrich the curriculum and may be related to a specific subject area or be cross-curricular.

We also have dedicated time set aside in student’s timetables for enrichment activities. One afternoon a week, students will have the opportunity to get involved in sports, creative arts or other engaging projects within school or the wider community, such as volunteering, hosting and visiting members of all faiths and ages, or fundraising for charitable causes. Such opportunities help pupils develop key personal skills and aptitudes and build confidence, as well as promote our school values.

Below is a table of proposed activities for this year – some of which are already in full swing! These enrichment activities have been planned to enhance different areas of our taught curriculum.

Please follow our school news page to keep up to date with the latest activities!
