At Excellence Girls Academy, we believe in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive, regardless of nationality, background or ability.
We are not a selective school and never discriminate against anyone due to their race, religion, ethnicity, disability, or any other protected characteristic as outlined as part of the Equality Act 2010. We believe that all children have a right to learn and all are welcome at our school.
Currently, most of our students are local or from neighbouring communities and the majority of our students speak more than one language. They bring a wealth of experiences and culture to the school that enriches the education of all our students.
Our students are also of various learning abilities who are supported and challenged as appropriate by teachers to ensure they reach their full potential.
Further information on how we promote equality and diversity and support pupils who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) can be found in our Equality and Diversity Policy and Curriculum Policy.
Details of education and welfare provision for pupils with additional needs and/or Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans can be found in our SEND Policy and Information Report.
