Election Day

To mark the historic general election that took place on 12th December, we held our own election, giving students their first experience of voting!

Students were taught about how the election process works and given an overview of the manifestos of each of the major parties standing in the general election.

Students then came to cast their vote at our polling station. Given the importance of Brexit in this general election, we also gave students the opportunity to vote on whether or not the UK should remain a member of the EU.

Votes were counted and the results announced at the end of the day – only time would tell if they would match the real results!
