As part of our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme, all year groups had the exciting opportunity to attend this year’s World Skills UK Live show at the NEC, Birmingham on 22nd November.
World Skills UK Live is the UK’s largest apprenticeships, skills and careers event and aims to build students understanding of the knowledge and skills that they need in order to get to where they want to be, through giving students the opportunity to meet and talk to a range of employers and people working in areas that they might be interested in, as well as the chance to try different skills and tasks from various job roles.
Alhamdulillah, students had a great time exploring a range of different career options and had lots of fun trying out the hands-on activities! Some of the students highlights included using virtual reality headsets, learning how the circuits behind the indicators of a car work and watching how jewellery is made.
For full details and further information about the event, please see the World Skills UK website.
