House System

Our school house system involves all students and staff members and fosters a sense of community and belonging, as well as encouraging teamwork and healthy competition.

Each of the 3 houses – Al-Fihri, Tawakkol and Rufaida – is named after an inspirational Muslimah who has left a lasting legacy in society.

Al-Fihri
Named after Fatima Al-Fihri – An Arab Muslim women who opened the first university in the world where people could come to study and leave with a degree.

Tawakkol
Named after Tawakkol Karman – Born in Yemen, she graduated with a degree in political science and currently works in journalism. She received a nobel peace prize for her work fighting for women’s rights.

Rufaida
Named after Rufaida Al-Aslamia – Born approx. 620 AD, she was an Islamic medical and social worker recognised as the first female Muslim nurse and surgeon.
