COVID-19: Guidance changes from 01/04/22

From Friday 1 April, most coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance for education settings has been withdrawn in England following the Living with COVID announcement from the Government.

Going forward, students who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. They can go back to school and resume normal activities when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.

Staff members who have a positive coronavirus test result will try to self-isolate for five days, and students should self-isolate for three days.

Regular asymptomatic testing is no longer recommended in any education setting, and schools will no longer be able to order test kits.

Our COVID-19 School Updates page has been updated to reflect the new guidance and although many links have been removed, anything that remains relevant is still available for your information.
